Search the Herrick Archives:
By default, searches retrieve all documents that contain any of the search terms in the Building Name or full text of the Herrick Building Record. Relevance ranking is determined by the number of matching words, as well as the uniqueness of words in relation to the other building records.
Due to this search method, even exact Building Name matches may not appear at the top of the relevance ranking. To achieve higher relevance ranking, use as many words as possible to describe the object of your search. Or, if you know the name of the building your searching for, it may be just as easy to find it by scrolling through the list of Building Names, which, by default, is sorted alphabetically. It can also be sorted by Herrick ID and OSU Architect ID.
Words that occur in a majority of the Herrick Building Records are treated as stopwords, which are not indexed or included in searches. Words with three or fewer letters are also not searched. A search performed on only stopwords will retrieve no results.
