1. Name

1.1  The Board of Trustees officially named the building the "Walter C. Rothenbuhler Honey Bee Research Laboratory" on August 23, 1989 after Walter C. Rothenbuhler of Worthington.  Mr. Rothenbuhler spent 21 years on the faculty at OSU and retired in 1985.  He was a renowned pioneer in honeybee genetic research.
