Steel frame with limestone and split face concrete block exterior.

22,942 sq. ft. net assignable

B. PLANNING & CONSTRUCTION

1. On December 15, 1976 the Board of Trustees approved the plans and related documents prepared by Eschliman Associates and authorized the solicitation of bids by contractors.

2. Bids were received on May 19, 1977 (T).

3. On July 22, 1977 the award of contracts to the following contractors was reported to the Board of Trustees:

General: Sherman Smoot
Electrical: Royal Electric
Heating, ventilating & air conditioning: Montoney Heating & Piping Co.
Plumbing: R.H. Reeb Plumbing & Piping Co.

4. Beginning of work:

Ground was broken on June 21, 1977 (L June 22, 1977).

5. Completion and occupancy:

Except for the auditorium, the building was occupied the first week of June, 1979.

As of this date, some work remains to be done on acoustical corrections in the auditorium. The University Architect's office estimates that this work will not be completed for several months.

ADDENDUM NO. 3

The acoustical work was completed and the auditorium was released for use in late January 1981. The first concert use of the completed auditorium was on February 9, 1981.
