Built under the general title of "Animal Science Livestock Center," which included buildings in three locations. Building 327 was part of the "Sawmill Road Complex."

Designated "Waste Facility" on signs.

B. PLANNING & CONSTRUCTION

1. On May 7, 1971 the Board of Trustees approved the plans and related documents prepared by Hollie W. Shupe, University Architect, and authorized the solicitation of bids by contractors.

2. Bids were received on June 11, 1971 (T)

3. On July 2, 1971 the Board of Trustees awarded contracts for the Case Road Complex to the following contractors:

General: Trapp Construction Co.
Electrical: S. & S. Electric Co.
Heating, ventilating, & air conditioning: Duckworth Plumbing Co.
Plumbing: Limback Co.
Sewers: Smith & Bruce Co..
Site improvement: George J. Igel Co.

4. Completion and occupancy:

Sawmill Road Complex released for occupancy July 26, 1972 (P).

Other correspondence indicates that this facility was not actually put into use until November 1, 1972 (P).
