3. General Description
3.1 Type of construction:
Main building--steel frame with concrete block exterior; others, mostly sheet metal exterior, except greenhouse.
3.2 No. of stories:
Main building, two stories and basement; others, one story.
3.3 Increments of construction:
No additions since owned by OSU.
3.4 Present area of building as shown in inventory records of Division of Campus Planning:
11,279 square feet gross; 9,460 square feet net assignable including 1, 170 square feet in the three quonsets at the west end of the site.

3.5 Buildings in this group are shown in the sketch below.
3.6 Some 1958 maps show other small buildings just west of C, but these were gone by the time of purchase by the Board of Trustees.
B. HISTORY OF BUILDING
1. All buildings were on the property when purchased. Title was acquired by the Board of Trustees by deed executed February 8, 1968 by Battelle Memorial Institute (Deed Book 2881, p. 291).
2. These buildings do not show on an aerial photograph (BCF 3-70) in Photoarchives taken June 1, 1938.
