Reinforced concrete frame with brick exterior.
3.2 No. of stories:
Basement and two stories.
3.3 Increments of construction:
No additions.
3.4 Present area of building as shown in inventory records of Division of Campus Planning:
61,629 sq. ft. gross; 33,367 sq. ft. net assignable

730,000 cubic feet (PP).
B. PLANNING & CONSTRUCTION
1. On December 5, 1958 the Board of Trustees approved the plans and related documents prepared by Ramsey, Croce and Abbott and authorized the solicitation of bids by contractors.
2. Bids were received on March 5, 1959 (A).
3. On March 6, 1959 the Board of Trustees awarded contracts to the following contractors:
General: George W. Timmons Co.
Electrical: Burroughs Electric Co.
Heating & ventilating: Chillicothe Plumbing & Heating Co.
Plumbing: Chillicothe Plumbing & Heating Co.
Refrigeration: Capital Refrigeration Co.
Laboratory Equipment: Laboratory Furniture, Inc.
Site Improvement: General Maintenance and Engineering Co.
4. Completion and occupancy:
The University Architect on December 16, 1960 reported that the building was substantially completed and released it for occupancy. (P)
