1049 West Lane Avenue

Herrick Archives Number H 957

On January 16, 1948, William Salzgaber et al. conveyed to the State by warranty deed property including a house at 1049 West Lane Avenue. This was a brick house near the west end of the property.

The approximate location is shown on the map below.

For identification of other buildings shown, see Appendix A.

During at least part of the period of University ownership, the house was used for research by the Federal
Legume Seed Laboratory in cooperation with the Department of Agronomy.

The house was demolished about November 1, 1948.

This meager information has been taken from Cabinet minutes of September 9, 1948 and records in the
Property Management Office. No other sources have been found.
