B. HISTORY OF BUILDING
1. Building was on property when acquired by the University. Title was acquired by deed from E. W.
Dillon, Trustee (for Clementine A. Wood), executed February 2, 1929 (Deed Book 905, p. 643).
2. Demolition of the building was approved by the Board of Trustees on November 10, 1961.

House was last occupied by Curtis Balthaser, now a technician employed at the Beef Barn on Sawmill
Road. He identified the photograph and his wife furnished the information regarding number of rooms.

ADDENDUM NO. 1
In a list of farm buildings acquired by purchase, McCracken (4:17A) lists a brick residence and small
barn on the Wood tract. Hi notes that the barn was razed and the good material salvaged.

The barn mentioned in Addendum No. 1 is the site of the present Building 963 and was west of the house (H 917).
